You don’t become a fashion icon by letting the weather dictate your outfit.
Kim Kardashian demonstrated her superhuman ambivalence to the 90-degree heat in Calabasas, California on Tuesday, laughing in the face of 40% humidity as she stepped out in a skintight leather romper with nary a bead of sweat on her brow.
The reality star looked cool as a cucumber as she stopped by a gas station to top off her Range Rover wearing a hunter green leather romper with a plunging V-neckline, cinched waist with side adjusters, and knee-grazing Bermuda shorts. She paired the sweltering style with matching green canvas knee-high boots with a wedge heel from her husband Kanye West‘s Yeezy fashion line, a Hermès Kelly alligator pochette that typically retails for around $25,000, and a beige face mask from her own shapewear brand Skims.
This is hardly the first leather outfit Kim has donned this summer. While staying at her Wyoming ranch, the Kardashian wore a wide array of Wild West-themed leather pants featuring fringe and silver accents. And who could forget the time she paired white leather ass-less chaps with a white string bikini for an at-home mid-pandemic photo shoot.
Perhaps Kim has actually outsmarted us all with her assortment of clammy looks and this is simply a new trick to cut water weight so she can get back into that Met Gala corset in time for her 40th birthday.
